Discover Holidays Inc. is seeking a Senior Travel Designer Supervisor and Content Expert to join their team in Vancouver.
The position is office-based and is permanent and full time (40 hours a week, and includes some Saturdays on rotation).
Salary: $80,000 annually plus commission. Group benefits include Extended health and dental and a monthly wellness allowance available after 3 months of probation.

Job Description
Duties:
• Design and manage higher volume of optimized itineraries balancing traveler experience and commercial value;
• Reach monthly sales targets and strive to exceed monthly targets;
• Ensure team is following company procedures, guidelines, and customer service standards;
• Assist with creating and developing new processes and procedures to streamline the booking process;
• Recommend and provide input for alternate products and suppliers;
• Address and resolve inquiries and complaints from customers and clients;
• Identify discrepancies in costing by reviewing team’s work to ensure accuracy across the business;
• Assist Manager with hiring and prepare onboarding for new team members;
• Supervise and support team members to grow team’s skillset and product knowledge;
• Determine staffing requirements for the team;
• Evaluate the team’s daily operations and present solutions and recommendations for improvements;
• Set work schedules for the team;
• Support and complete special projects assigned for the accounting and IT department;
• Assist Manager with motivating and maintaining the spirit of the team;
• Act as Caretaker in the Manager's absence.
Requirements:
• Completion of secondary school is required;
• A college diploma in Tourism or related field is an asset;
• At least 2 years of previous work experience in the travel industry is required;
• English language ability is required;
• Previous experience of supervising a team is an asset;
• Destination and product knowledge of Alaska and Canada and specialist destination knowledge of Australia, New Zealand and Fiji is strongly desired;
• Proven sales ability, reaching and surpassing targets with consistent figures, is desirable;
• Demonstrated ability to handle high volumes of business is an asset;
• Customer focused with the ability to take the lead to provide solutions for travel related problems for the team is an asset;
• Outstanding interpersonal skills and ability to build strong relationships with team, suppliers, and customers is required.
