Skills Required:
• Computer diagnostic
• Experience using pneumatic tools
• Hydraulics
• Basic electric systems diagnostics and repairs and reading electrical schematics
• Air brakes and air brake systems
• ABS system repairs
• Tailgate assembly skills, assembly, diagnostic and repairs
• Air suspension
• Basic use of torches and welding when required is an asset
• Preventative maintenance including electrical, interior, air brake, tire, and body maintenance as per Cascades preventative maintenance sheet.
• Ability to coach Apprentice Mechanics and work effectively with Cascades Recovery employees at all levels.
Experience Required:
• A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience as a mechanic in the field;
• Demonstrated leadership ability or experience leading or supervising.
Education Required:
• 310T Certification of Qualifications or equivalent required
Wage & Hours (as per the Collective Bargaining Agreement):
• Wage: $46.26 / hour
• Number of hours per day: 8h to 9h (Variable, according to plant hours and the CBA)
• Number of days per week: 5
• Number of hours per week: 44
• Overtime starts after how many hours: after 44 hours per week
• Shift rotation: According to plant hours and the CBA
• Shift Premium: According to plant hours and the CBA
o Afternoon shift: $1.50$/h

Job Description
Job Duties:
• Perform preventative maintenance checks and servicing to ensure the safe and efficient operation of heavy-duty vehicles and equipment;
• Facilitate safety inspections;
• Repair equipment and replace parts where appropriate;
• Assess equipment to see if it needs to be sent out for repair;
• Recognize and report faults or malfunctions on all company equipment, not limited to loaders, skid steer, forklifts and hydraulic systems;
• Ensure all service and maintenance practices meet the regulatory requirements for the MTO, MOL, and the MOE;
• Coordinate and control the daily scheduling of service and repair of all road and plant equipment;
• Conduct weekly toolbox talks;
• Training and mentorship to team, especially Apprentice’s;
• Communicate with drivers, dispatch, maintenance crew and TTS supervisor on each repair report and as requested;
• Maintaining inventory and ordering parts as required.
