Permanent, full-time, 40 hours per week (8am to 4pm, Monday to Friday), $37.00 per hour.

Job Description
Duties:
• Ensure all company and WorkSafeBC policies regarding driver safety are followed;
• Oversee day to day operations of your department including all supplier pick ups and delivery from your facility;
• Ensure high standards for deliveries and customer service at all delivery/pick up locations;
• Ensure new hires receive training in adherence to Lekker Foods driver Standard Operating Procedures (SOP);
• Look for ongoing improvements in routing with a goal to ensure even distribution of working hours amongst drivers;
• Investigate causes of lost or damaged products/shipments and work with other managers, as required, to implement actions to correct issues;
• Perform driver evaluations and training twice per year on each driver;
• Oversee and manage the team of drivers, delegating tasks as needed;
• Ensure all drivers are doing their jobs as defined in the “pickup and delivery driver” job description;
• Have a thorough understanding of all routes in your area of operation;
• Maintain daily route schedules for the delivery drivers;
• Report any issues and deficiencies regarding staff, equipment or our facilities to the Director of Operations;
• Ensure pre-trip inspections are completed each work day for all equipment (vehicles and material handling equipment) operated from or within your facility;
• Ensure drivers adhere to company vehicle maintenance reporting procedures;
• Fill in for drivers when they are on holidays or otherwise absent;
• Ensure adequate amounts of supplies are kept on hand (eg oil/fluids, cleaning supplies, etc.);
• Communicate with other operations department managers and supervisors to ensure effective communication between departments;
• Maintain a positive attitude and monitor staff behaviour;
• Train, manage, coach, encourage, and motivate the delivery teams;
• Hold drivers accountable for truck cab and box cleanliness.
Requirements:
• Completion of a college or university program in business, economics, supply chain, production or manufacturing management or related field is required;
• At least 3 years of previous work experience in warehouses or related industry is required;
• Previous supervisory experience in a warehouse or related industry is an asset;
• Experience handling warehouse equipment (i.e., forklift, reach truck, counterbalance) is an asset;
• English language skills are required.
