Responsibilities

Tasks
Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine work requirements.
Inspecting panels for imperfections, filling gaps, and cleaning surfaces to ensure proper adhesion.
Applying paper or fiberglass tape over joints to strengthen them, followed by multiple coats of compound.
Applying compound to inside/outside corners and covering screw/nail holes with putty to create a flat finish.
Using tools like taping knives, trowels, mud pans, and sometimes automatic taping tools for efficiency.
