Position: Chef

Wage: $28.00 to 36.00 hourly (to be negotiated)/ 30 to 40 hours per week

Job Duties:
- Prepare and cook a diverse range of authentic Korean dishes, including but not limited to the restaurant's signature menus, in strict accordance with traditional Korean culinary techniques and recipes, ensuring the preservation of the dishes' integrity and quality;
- Collaborate with the restaurant management to enhance seasonal or special menus that align with current trends and develop or modify recipes to suit customer preferences;
- Maintain high standards for taste, presentation, and portion size, ensuring profitability without compromising authenticity, while also ensuring that all food handling, storage, and sanitation practices comply with regulatory and company standards;
- Ensure that ingredients are prepared in advance to ensure smooth service during busy periods;
- Plan and design strategies to achieve positive outcomes by working with clients to understand their needs, recommend tailored menu options, and ensure overall satisfaction through effective communication and follow-up;
- Manage the timely preparation, packaging, and delivery for take out service and catering event orders when needed, ensuring punctual and efficient service
- Lead a team of kitchen staff, delegate tasks efficiently, and provide on-the-job training and feedback to ensure skill development and high performance.
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and kitchen supplies, track deliveries, and manage proper storage to ensure the kitchen is always well-equipped to handle customer orders
- Resolve customer complaints and incorporate feedback to make necessary improvements or introduce new variations to traditional dishes, ensuring customer satisfaction and the restaurant's continuous improvement;
- Recruiting, hiring, and training kitchen staff, providing ongoing development and performance evaluations to ensure a skilled, efficient team that consistently meets the high standards of food preparation and service.
