This position is permanent, full-time; 30 hours per week; $35.00 per hour. Plus 4% vacation pay.

Job Description

Duties:
- Conduct regular maintenance and small repairs and contact tradespersons for major repairs of heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, and electrical systems;
- Handle routine tasks such as painting and fixing drywall;
- Perform daily inspections on the building systems and address residents' requests for small repairs;
- Keep track of supplies and equipment and purchase smaller items as needed;
- Ensure that security and safety protocols are followed throughout the property;
- May advertise vacancies, show apartments and offices to prospective tenants and collect rent;
- May process lease or rental applications, including completion of background and credit checks;
- May move heavy furniture, equipment and supplies;
- May supervise other workers.

Qualifications:
- Completion of secondary school is required;
- Minimum of one-year of maintenance related experience is required;
- Able to handle work under pressure in a very fast-paced environment;
- Building Operator Certificate or Journeyman/woman Certificate is an asset;
- English language ability is required.
