Job Description
Canada’s agrifood sector is thriving, and home to trailblazing companies who are leading innovative projects that will change the global food landscape. Protein Industries Canada (PIC) is seeking a Project Manager to support Member companies in the execution of agrifood processing projects that will increase the economic value derived from Canadian plant protein.
Job Responsibilities
Provide Global Innovation Cluster program guidance to Protein Industries Canada Members
Manage and evaluate ongoing projects through tracking of project milestones as reported by Steering Committees
Support the development of interim and final reports
Assist in the development of internal standard operating procedures (SOPs)
Facilitate reporting to stakeholders on project progress, and collaborate with marketing colleagues to share success stories from Member projects
Able to travel within Canada occasionally
Contractual project set-up reviews and guidance: milestones, workplans, workbooks
Work with clients to execute projects as a Steering Committee member, and monitor progress to ensure that consortia members are meeting the terms of Master Project Agreements
Support project consortia in the management of change orders, foreign cost requests, and other project-specific approvals as required
Provide general guidance and technical expertise to Protein Industries Canada Members consistent with the candidate’s technical background

You are passionate about the agrifood industry and eager to contribute to Canadian innovation. Above all, you are organized with exceptional attention to detail.
Education and Experience
A degree in Agriculture, Food Science, Process Engineering or equivalent
Experience managing multi-stakeholder projects with budgets over $500,000
Completion of formal project management training will be considered an asset
A mix of other education and transferable experience will be considered
