Title of the Position: Long Haul Truck Driver Crossing Border

Number of Positions Available: 4

Job Duties:
- Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle
- Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment
- Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption
- Obtain special permits and other documents required to transport cargo on international routes
- Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
- Arrange travel, related itineraries and make reservations
- Receive and relay information to central dispatch
- Tarp and ensuring safety and security of cargo
- Transport and handle dangerous goods
- Perform emergency roadside repairs
- Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy

Terms of Employment: This is a permanent and full-time position, 60-70 hours of work per week

Seasonal Position: No

Language of Work: English

Wage: $28.39 per hour

Overtime: $42.58 per hour after 60 hours per week

Vacation: 10 days

Bonuses/Commission: N/A

Contingent Wages : 0.42c per mile

Locations of Work: Canada-wide work and border crossing into the USA

Skill Requirements:
- At least one year of experience driving truck and trailer
- Completion of secondary school is preferred but not required
- A Class 1 or A licence is required to drive long combination vehicles
