Requirements:
• Must be lawfully authorized to work in Canada
- Canadian citizen
- Permanent resident of Canada
- Temporary resident of Canada with a valid work permit
• Proven experience as a Tandoori Chef or similar role in an Indian restaurant
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes accurately
• Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team
• In-depth knowledge of Indian cuisine and Tandoori cooking techniques
Responsibilities
Tasks
• Determine the size of food portions and costs
• Prepare and cook tandoori dishes according to recipes and standards
• Plan menus and estimate food requirements for their realization
• Create marination from scratch for vegetables and meat
• Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods
• Inspect kitchens and food service areas
• Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food
• Order supplies and equipment
• Supervise kitchen staff and helpers
• Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment
• Clean kitchen and work areas
• Manage kitchen operations
