COMPANY DESCRIPTION:
Melfer Construction is seeking one floor installer (NOC Code: 73113 Floor covering installers) to work full-time, permanent, 35 hours per week at various construction job sites within 1-1.75 hour driving distance from their Head Office located at 7 Paisley Lane, Uxbridge, ON L4A 7X4.
Job to start as soon as possible. Working hours including early mornings, daytime, evenings, and some weekends. Overtime is sometimes required. You must hold a valid driver's license and be able to drive yourself to and from work sites. You will need to provide your own steel-toed work boots. Job Description

Key Responsibilities
• Remove existing floor coverings
• Inspect, measure and mark surfaces to be covered
• Prepare and install resilient floor coverings such as ceramic floor, marble, glass tiles, mosaic tile, laminate, plank floors, flagstone using adhesive, rollers and other tools
• Measure, cut and fasten underlay and underpadding
• Conduct moisture, ph, temperature and other tests prior to flooring installations
• Inspect and repair damaged floor coverings
• Must be able to level floors by dry packing concrete prior to laying marble
