Position: Home Care Support (NOC 44101)

Wage:$20.00 hourly / 30 to 40 hours per Week
Benefit : Night shift premium – additional pay for working night shifts

Position Summary;
We are seeking a reliable and compassionate Home Support Worker to provide in-home care and daily assistance to an elderly client in the client’s private residence. The position is located in a rural area and requires the ability to work flexible hours, including overnight shifts when required. The worker will assist with personal care and hygiene, provide companionship, perform light household tasks, and prepare and serve nutritious meals to support the client’s daily needs, comfort, and well-being.
Job duties:
1. Provide personal assistance to an elderly client with daily routines and activities in the client’s home, according to the client’s individual needs.
2. Assist the client with bathing, grooming, dressing, and other personal hygiene activities while ensuring their comfort, dignity, and safety.
3. Perform light housekeeping and routine cleaning tasks, such as maintaining commonly used areas and keeping the client’s living environment clean, safe, and comfortable.
4. Provide companionship through regular conversation and appropriate social or recreational activities and offer support during the client’s daily routine.
5. Assist the client with mobility and routine activities around the home, as required, to help the client safely maintain day-to-day independence.
6. Plan, prepare, and serve nutritious and balanced meals based on the client’s dietary needs, preferences, and daily routine.
7. Cook and prepare a variety of home-prepared meals while maintaining appropriate food handling, preparation, and kitchen hygiene practices.

Terms of employment: Permanent, Full time

Work Location: Client’s private residence in a rural area near Fairview, Alberta.
*** The position requires providing in-home care at the client’s private residence.

Requirements
• Secondary (high) School graduation Certificate
• No previous work experience is required. We will provide on-the-job training to familiarize the successful candidate with the client’s specific care needs, daily routines, and household requirements.
