Job Description
Duties:
- Demonstrate skill in the safe operation of hand and power tools used for on-site installation, including circular saws, drills, levels, caulking guns, and fastening equipment
- Prepare for work projects by performing operational and safety risk assessments, arranging work schedules with user departments and assembling supplies, tools and equipment
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine specifications and calculate requirements
- Assemble and install prefabricated sunroom, pergola, patio cover, and glass wall components on-site according to blueprints and manufacturer specifications
- Fit and align structural framing, glazing, doors, and windows to ensure proper weatherproofing and seal integrity
- Inspect and replace damaged framework and structures, as neededInstall fixtures such as doors and moldings, as needed
- Follow all company health and safety policies and procedures and ensure that they are respected by all personnel and subcontractors
- Strive to continually improve through specific development plans
- Accept direction from the Lead Carpenter
- Coach and assist Carpenter Apprentices with all job tasks
- Practice good housekeeping discipline on the job to ensure a safe, non-cluttered workplace and to minimize cross contamination

Qualifications:
- Secondary school completion is required
- College Diploma or certification in a recognized construction/carpentry course preferred
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in carpentry is required
- May be required to travel to job sites throughout the Lower Mainland
- Valid driver's licence is required
- English language ability is required
