Champion Grocery & Liquor Store

Position: Cashier

Wage: $15.15 per hour, 30 to 40 hours

Job Duties:
1. Operate the cash register and process customer transactions accurately.
2. Accept and process payments by cash, cheque, credit card, and debit card.
3. Scan merchandise and enter items into the point-of-sale system.
4. Calculate the total cost of purchases and provide customers with receipts.
5. Verify and reconcile payments received for merchandise purchased.
6. Assist customers with inquiries, requests, and general service needs.
7. Bag and package customers’ purchases as required.
8. Verify customers’ identification and age when processing purchases of age-restricted products, including lottery tickets, alcohol, and tobacco products.
9. Assist customers with self-checkout machines and provide support when necessary.
