Job Details

The Painter and Decorator will be responsible for preparing and finishing interior and exterior surfaces in residential and commercial buildings. The position requires attention to detail, proper use of painting equipment, and the ability to complete projects according to company quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

* Prepare surfaces by sanding, scraping, patching, filling, and priming.
* Apply paint, stain, varnish, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment.
* Paint walls, ceilings, doors, trim, cabinets, and other surfaces.
* Perform minor drywall repairs and caulking.
* Protect flooring, furniture, windows, and fixtures during work.
* Measure and mix paints and finishing materials.
* Inspect completed work and perform touch-ups when required.
* Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean work area.
* Follow workplace health and safety procedures.
* Work independently and with other construction team members.

Qualifications:

* Previous painting/decorating experience is an asset.
* Knowledge of surface preparation and painting techniques.
* Good attention to detail.
* Ability to work at heights and use ladders safely.
* Physically able to perform painting and construction-related duties.
* Reliable, punctual, and able to follow instructions.
