Job Details

• Title of Position: General Farm Worker
• Terms of Employment: Full-time, temporary contract position for a duration of 2 years.
• Hours: 8 hours per day, 44 hours per week.
Wage & Compensation
• Hourly Wage: $18.50 CAD per hour.
• Overtime Rate: There is no overtime rate provided for this position.
Job Duties
Main duties include:
• Assist with feeding, treating and management of cattle.
• Conduct daily checks of water systems, salt and minerals.
• Assist with yard maintenance and clean-up.
• Perform general tasks such as counting, harvesting, and taking inventory.
• Enter data into company computer database as directed.
• Maintain farm safety at all times; comply with company health and safety guidelines.
• Perform general labor tasks, as assigned.

Skills & Requirements
Education
• There are no minimum formal education or training requirements for this position.
Work Experience
• At least 7 month of farming experience.
• No specific education or training requirements.
• Basic farm knowledge, some background in operating machinery will be an asset.
• Willingness to work outside during various weather conditions, including inclement weather.
Language Requirement: functional English communication skills to direct staff and manage site safety are required.
