We are seeking an experienced Retail Store Manager to provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for all five retail locations. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, directing, controlling, and evaluating retail operations while ensuring profitability, regulatory compliance, and consistent customer service standards across all stores.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities
• Plan, organize, direct, control, and evaluate the operations of all five Big Bee Store retail locations.
• Develop and implement operational policies, business strategies, and performance objectives to achieve sales and profitability targets.
• Monitor the financial and operational performance of each location and implement corrective measures where necessary.
• Analyze sales reports, operating results, market trends, and customer feedback to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Develop, administer, and monitor operating budgets while controlling labour, inventory, and operating costs.
• Direct inventory planning, purchasing, merchandising, pricing strategies, and stock replenishment across all store locations.
• Oversee purchasing and merchandising of imported Mediterranean and Middle Eastern grocery products while maintaining appropriate inventory levels.
• Ensure compliance with food safety standards, inventory control procedures, company policies, and applicable federal, provincial, and municipal legislation.
• Recruit, hire, train, mentor, supervise, and evaluate store supervisors and employees, fostering a productive and customer-focused work environment.
• Establish staffing plans and oversee employee scheduling to ensure efficient business operations.
• Lead and support store supervisors in achieving operational goals and maintaining company standards.
• Oversee Point-of-Sale (POS) operations, cash controls, banking procedures, and financial reporting systems.
• Implement security, risk management, and loss prevention programs to protect company assets.
• Resolve complex customer concerns and ensure consistent delivery of high-quality customer service across all locations.
• Coordinate promotional campaigns, merchandising initiatives, and marketing activities to support business growth.
• Prepare operational reports and recommendations for senior management regarding business performance and strategic improvements.
• Travel regularly between all assigned retail locations to provide operational leadership and ensure consistent execution of company objectives.
