Responsibilities
Tasks
• Operate tractor-trailers to transport goods safely over long distances across Canada and, when required, cross-border routes.
• Conduct pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is safe and roadworthy.
• Plan travel routes and schedules to ensure timely deliveries while complying with transportation regulations.
• Load, secure, and inspect cargo to prevent damage during transit.
• Complete driver logs, inspection reports, bills of lading, and other required transportation documents.
• Comply with all federal and provincial transportation laws, hours-of-service regulations, and company safety policies.
• Monitor vehicle performance and report mechanical issues or arrange for maintenance and repairs when necessary.
• Maintain communication with dispatch regarding delivery schedules, route updates, and any delays.
• Ensure cargo is delivered safely and accurately to customers while providing professional customer service.
• Keep the truck clean and perform minor roadside maintenance when required.
• Follow safe driving practices in all weather and road conditions.
• Assist in training and mentoring new drivers on company procedures and safe driving practices when required.

• Driver's License (Class 1 or A)
