Position: Floor covering Installer

Wage: $25.69 per hour, 30 to 40 hours

Job Duties:
1. Prepare and inspect subfloors to ensure surfaces are level, clean, dry, and suitable for hardwood flooring installation.
2. Measure work areas accurately and calculate material requirements to minimize waste and ensure proper installation.
3. Cut, fit, and install hardwood flooring, including solid, engineered, and plank flooring, using appropriate tools and fastening methods.
4. Install moisture barriers, underlayment, trim, moldings, and transition strips to achieve a secure and professional finish.
5. Operate and maintain flooring installation tools and equipment while following company safety procedures and manufacturer specifications.
6. Inspect completed flooring installations to ensure proper alignment, stability, and overall quality, making adjustments when necessary.
7. Repair or replace damaged hardwood flooring sections and perform touch-ups to restore the appearance and functionality of finished floors.
8. Maintain a clean and organized work area, safely handle flooring materials, and communicate with supervisors and team members to ensure projects are completed efficiently and on schedule

** Work locations may vary. Frequent or constant travel is required from the employee.

Requirements:
• Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
• 2 years to less than 3 years of work experience
