We are seeking a compassionate, dependable, and patient Home Support Worker to provide personalized care and daily living support for two seniors in a private residence. The successful candidate will provide companionship, meal preparation, household support, and personal assistance as needed to support clients with different levels of daily living needs. This is a non-live-in position. Responsibilities include helping clients maintain comfort, safety, and quality of life at home.

Job Description

Responsibilities:
• Provide compassionate care, companionship, and emotional support to clients in a private residence.
• Assist with personal care and activities of daily living as needed, while respecting clients' dignity and personal preferences.
• Support clients with mobility and provide additional assistance during periods of illness, fatigue, or reduced mobility.
• Plan, prepare, and serve meals according to clients’ specific dietary requirements and health needs, and assist with feeding when required.
• Accompany clients to medical appointments and other essential outings as needed.
• Provide medication reminders and support clients in following their established daily care routines.
• Observe clients' physical and emotional well-being and promptly report any noticeable changes to family members.
• Maintain a clean, hygienic, and organized home environment by performing light housekeeping duties, including laundry, dishwashing, changing bed linens, vacuuming, and general household cleaning.
• Follow safe caregiving practices to help maintain clients' health and reduce the risk of illness.

Requirements:
• Minimum one year of experience providing care and daily living support for elderly individuals with chronic health conditions in a private home setting is required.
• Previous experience caring for elderly individuals with ongoing health needs in a private home setting is required.
• Experience assisting clients with daily routines, companionship, household support, and preparing meals based on individual dietary requirements and special needs.
• Patient, caring, and respectful when supporting seniors with different needs and personal preferences.
• Good listening and communication skills, with the ability to understand and respond appropriately to clients’ requests and concerns.
• Responsible, reliable, and able to provide consistent care and companionship in a private home environment.
• Ability to maintain a positive attitude and build a trusting relationship with clients and family members.
• Ability to follow established care routines and provide support according to the family’s instructions.
• Valid First Aid and CPR certification.
