We are seeking a dedicated and dependable babysitter/nanny to provide attentive care for our child. The ideal candidate will be responsible, energetic, patient, and genuinely passionate about working with children.
Business Address/Location: East York, Ontario
Major intersection: Eglinton and Bayview
Wage: $23.58 hourly for 44 hours per week
(Monday to Friday, overtime required $35.38/hr)
Benefits: Private health insurance until candidate is eligible for coverage by the appropriate provincial health insurance plan.
Terms of employment: Full-Time Position
Job duties:
• Taking care of baby including feeding, changing diapers, playing with and engaging with baby, teaching basic skills, communicating with baby, reading to baby, walking with baby
• Training baby including regular napping schedule, feeding, speaking, walking, etc.
• Taking baby to external events by walking, attending social events with other babies and parents.
• Taking baby to regular medical appointments .
• Taking care of the household including cleaning (washing floors, maintaining clean kitchen and surfaces, making beds, etc.), food prep and cooking, laundry and ironing, purchasing groceries and other household goods (i.e., general shopping)
• Communicating well with parents to coordinate schedules
• Required to be punctual to schedule with minimal exceptions with ability to stay later or come earlier on certain day.
• Required to maintain a safe environment for baby while fostering baby's development
• Required to go above and beyond on maintaining a clean, organized and efficient household
Skills requirements:
• Work experience
o 7 + months of Experience working with children
• Reliable, outgoing, good social skills, organized, initiative, good oral communication, client focus
• First aid or nursing skills will be given priority (Certificate: Emergency child care first aid and CPR)
