Dieffenbacher North America Inc is looking for full time CNC Machinists at 9495 Twinoaks Dr., Windsor ON N8N 5B8 Canada. There are 4 positions available.

Hours of work are 40 hours a week Mon-Fri (overtime paid after 44 hours/week). Pay is $36/hour. Successful candidates must speak English and have completed secondary school. Minimum work experience is 3 years hands on machining experience.

Job Description

Main duties and responsibilities are as follows but not limited to:

• Read and interpret engineering drawings, sketches and verbal instructions to determine machining operation to be performed, and plan best sequence of operations; be able to solve more complex machining/production-related issues.
• Compute dimensions and tolerances and measure and lay out work pieces
• Set up, operate and maintain a variety of machine tools including computer numerically controlled (CNC) tools to perform precision, non-repetitive machining operations; write and/or modify CNC programs for milling machines and lathes based on process specifications.
• Fit and assemble machined metal parts and subassemblies using hand and power tools; perform finishing operations such as deburring and chamfering.
• Verify dimensions of products for accuracy and conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges)
• Process improvements for cost reduction programs i.e. analyze tool wear and modify programs to improve tooling cost per piece.
• Ensure daily maintenance of equipment and maintain inspection records and complete daily quality control documentation.
• May set up and program machine tools for use by machining tool operators.
