Job Details
We are currently seeking a dependable, experienced, and motivated Supervisor, Cleaning and Maintenance to join our team in North York, Ontario. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the cleaning and maintenance staff, ensuring that all assigned sites and facilities are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and safety.
This position requires strong leadership abilities, excellent organizational skills, and hands-on experience in cleaning and maintenance operations. The ideal candidate will be capable of supervising staff, coordinating schedules, maintaining quality standards, and supporting team members in their daily duties.

Key Responsibilities:
• Supervise, assign, and coordinate the daily activities of cleaning and maintenance workers
• Monitor staff performance to ensure work is completed efficiently and in accordance with company standards
• Conduct regular inspections of sites, buildings, and facilities to ensure compliance with cleanliness, sanitation, and workplace safety requirements
• Identify maintenance issues and recommend or arrange for additional repair and maintenance services when necessary
• Assist cleaning and maintenance staff with their duties during busy periods or when additional support is required
• Develop, organize, and manage employee work schedules and shift assignments
• Coordinate cleaning and maintenance activities with other departments, building management, or clients as needed
• Train new and existing staff on cleaning procedures, equipment usage, workplace safety, and quality control standards
• Ensure adequate inventory levels of cleaning products, tools, and equipment, and arrange timely replenishment
• Maintain records of inspections, staff schedules, supply usage, and maintenance requests
• Ensure all staff follow occupational health and safety regulations and company policies
Job Description
Qualifications:
• Previous experience in cleaning, janitorial, or maintenance services is required
• Prior supervisory or team leadership experience is strongly preferred
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
• Knowledge of workplace health and safety procedures and regulations
• Reliable, organized, and able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Education: secondary school
• Experience : 1 year to less than 2 years
