Permanent, full-time; $45.00 per hour; 40 hours per week. Work locations are across the greater Victoria region.

Job Description
Duties:
• Supervise and co-ordinate the activities of workers who maintain parks and other landscaped areas
• Plan and estimate the materials and labour requirements for individual contracts
• Organize the planting and maintenance of trees
• Establish work schedules and procedures and co-ordinate activities with other work units
• Resolve work-related problems and prepare and submit progress and other reports
• Requisition supplies and materials
• Maintain financial and personnel records
• Hire staff and train workers in job duties and company policies
• May perform the same duties as workers supervised.
• Ensures work site is clean at all times;
• Trains the arborists in their duties;
• Resolves customers’ concerns and requests and represents the owner when on the job site.
Qualifications:
• Completion of secondary school is required;
• A college diploma or university degree in Arboriculture, Forestry, Forest Management or other related field OR Arborist Technician certification with completion of apprenticeship is required;
• At least 3 years of experience as an arborist is required;
• Previous supervisory experience is an asset;
• Must be proficient in Spurless (DRT or SRT) and Spur climbing;
• Possession of ISA, TRAQ, Air brake, and Advance Rigger certifications are assets;
• Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions;
• Must have access to reliable transportation;
• Class 5 driver’s licence is an asset;
• Must be punctual;
• English language ability is required.
