Job Description
Position: Concrete Finisher
Number of positions available: 2
Work Hours: 40 hours per week
Wage: $35.00/hour
Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent
Start date: ASAP
Work Location: Lower Mainland of British Columbia, Canada (various construction job sites)
Language of work: English
Vacation time: As per law

Key duties and responsibilities
• Erect and disassemble scaffolding, shoring, braces, and other temporary structures.
• Mix and patch concrete and mortar.
• Drilling, grinding, chipping, compacting and leveling concrete
• Pour concrete in hollows and smooth freshly poured concrete
• Repair, resurface and replace worn or damaged sections of concrete structures
• Building, erecting, and bracing of concrete structures
• Apply hardening and sealing components to cure surfaces
• Assist in building, aligning, straightening, and positioning forms for pouring concrete and dismantles forms after.
• Dig ditches and levels earth to grade specifications, using pick, shovels, and rakes.
• Use of hand and power tools to finish concrete.
• Install anchor bolts, steel plates, door sills and other fixtures in freshly poured concrete.
• Waterproof, damp proof and restore surfaces
• Clean construction site to eliminate possible hazards.
• Train new staff.
Job requirements:
• Completion of secondary school.
• Minimum 1 year of previous work experience.
• Ability to handle heavy load.
• Ability to bend, crouch and kneel.
• Ability to be standing for long periods.
• Attention to detail.
