Position Summary

We are a welcoming family in Victoria looking for a caring, responsible, and patient nanny to help care for our two daughters, aged 2 and 9. The ideal candidate enjoys working with children of different ages and can create a safe, positive, and engaging environment.

You will play an important role in supporting our children’s daily routines, development, and overall well-being.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities

Supervise and care for children in a safe and attentive manner
Bathe, dress, and assist children with daily routines
Prepare and serve healthy meals and snacks
Prepare bottles/formula and change diapers for the younger child
Plan and engage children in age-appropriate activities (reading, crafts, playtime, outdoor activities)
Take children to and from school, daycare, and appointments as needed
Help with homework and encourage learning
Support children’s emotional well-being and guide behavior based on parents’ approach
Maintain a clean and organized environment, including light housekeeping around the house
Shop for groceries and household supplies when required
Prepare children for naps and bedtime routines
Assume full responsibility for the household in the parents’ absence, when needed

Qualifications

Education: High school diploma or equivalent
Experience: Previous experience caring for infants or young children is an asset, but not required

Preferred Skills and Qualifications

Patient, kind, and attentive with a genuine love for working with children
Reliable, punctual, and responsible
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Able to manage time and multitask effectively
Creative and engaging with children (e.g., games, storytelling, activities)
Basic cooking skills and knowledge of healthy meal preparation
First Aid and CPR certification is an asset
