Job Description

Job Duties
Supervise and care for children in employer’s residence
Prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks
Assist children with personal hygiene (bathing, dressing)
Change diapers and care for infant (10 months old)
Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home
Organize and participate in age-appropriate activities (educational and recreational)
Assist school-aged children with homework and daily routines
Escort children to and from school, appointments, or activities if required
Maintain a daily routine for the infant including feeding and naps
Perform light housekeeping related to child care (laundry, tidying play areas, cleaning bottles)
Observe and report any behavioral or health concerns to the employer

Education
Secondary school (high school) graduation certificate or equivalent

Experience
1 to 7 months of relevant experience in child care, caregiving, or related field
Experience caring for infants and multiple children is an asset

Skills & Requirements
Ability to care for an infant and multiple children simultaneously
Reliable, responsible, and attentive to children’s needs
Good organizational and time management skills
Ability to maintain a safe and structured environment
Basic knowledge of child development and care practices
Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, and weekends as required based on the family’s schedule
