Iadome Tree Nurseries Ltd. is seeking a Nursery Manager to join the team at their Rosedale, BC location.

This is a permanent, full-time position. $24.00 per hour, 10-11 hours per day; 60 hours per week. Shifts may be scheduled from Mondays to Saturdays between 6:00AM and 6:00PM as required.

Job Description

Duties:
• Plan, organize, direct and control the operations of nurseries and greenhouses;
• Establish the environmental conditions required to grow trees, shrubs, flowers and plants, and design planting and care schedules accordingly;
• Determine type and quantity of stock to grow;
• Supervise staff in planting, transplanting, feeding, and spraying stock;
• Identify and control insect, disease, and weed problems;
• Hire and manage staff, oversee training, and set work schedules.

Qualifications:
• Experience as a nursery or greenhouse supervisor is an asset;
• Must be able to lift 50lbs;
• Must have a basic understanding of plant physiology;
• Must be able to operate machinery;
• Must be able to operate hand tools and power tools;
• English language ability is required.
