Mactek Technologies is looking for a full time Heavy Equipment Mechanic at 1864 Brampton St, Hamilton, ON L8H 3S3, Canada. There are 5 positions available.

Hours of work are an average of 35 hours per week Mon-Fri (overtime pay after 44 hours). Pay is $67,000 annually. Successful candidates must speak English and have completed secondary school. Minimum work experience is 5 years hands on experience.

Job Description

Main duties and responsibilities are as follows but not limited to:

• Check heavy equipment for proper performance and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions
• Diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine extent of repair required
• Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts, components or systems, using hand and power tools
• Test repaired equipment for proper performance and to ensure that work meets manufacturers' specifications
• Clean, lubricate and perform other routine maintenance work on equipment
• Service attachments and working tools such as harvesting and tillage equipment, blades, ploughs, winches and side booms
• May perform repair work on heavy trucks
• May attach components and adjust new heavy equipment.
