• Expertise in traditional South Asian sweet making (Mithai)
• Familiarity with South Asian ingredients
• Passion for the food industry
• Excellent communication skills
Responsibilities
Tasks
• Plan and design sweet menus for catering and events.
• Preparing and assembling a wide range of traditional sweets.
• Storing food at the correct temperature in order to avoid spoilage.
• Ensure consistency in taste, quality, and presentation of sweets.
• Monitoring supplies and re-ordering stock as needed.
• Ensuring that cooking utensils are clean before each use.
• Cleaning and sterilizing food preparation areas.
• Assisting other cooks to ensure that food orders are completed in a timely manner.
• Efficiently resolving problems with customers’ orders.
• Make sure that sweets are presented, garnished, and packaged attractively for store display and satisfy customers.
• Ensuring that food health and safety regulations are followed.
