Responsibilities
• Oversee staff roster and manage wood production workers who assemble, fabricate and inspect products, of up to 20 people.
• Create and establish wood production goals and manage targeted levels of production with other departments.
• Be in charge of setting productivity levels and quality product management, ensuring that all products that leave the assembly are of the highest quality and meet customer expectations.
• Manage materials and supply levels, and authorizing purchases of materials, coordinating with other personnel in the order desk.
• Coordinate and develop training of staff, ensuring workplace safety methods are always deployed to the highest standards. Develop and revise company training manuals and policies as needed.
• Hire, train and develop all production workers, and ensure incentives are put into place to maximize productivity levels and reward excellence.
• Report to senior management on production targets that are set and provide regular updates as needed.
• Ensure that all equipment and machinery is in good working order and provide additional training on machinery repair and maintenance.
