Job Description

Job Duties and Requirements:

Prepare authentic South Indian and Indian dishes according to restaurant standards.

Specialize in making Dosa from scratch, including soaking, grinding, batter preparation, fermentation, and maintaining proper consistency.

Prepare different types of biryani, including marination, spice preparation, rice cooking, and layering.

Prepare curries, chutneys, sambhar, gravies, doughs, batters, and other menu items from scratch.

Maintain consistent taste, quality, portion size, and presentation of dishes.

Train and supervise kitchen staff in specialized cooking and food preparation techniques.

Monitor food inventory, ingredient quality, storage, and minimize waste.

Maintain kitchen cleanliness and ensure food safety and sanitation standards are followed.

Create and develop new recipes and menu items while maintaining the restaurant’s authentic Indian flavors and standards.
