Job Description

Specific Skills:
• Operate and drive automobiles, vans, and light trucks to pick up and deliver goods and products safely and on time.
• Load and unload goods while ensuring proper handling and secure placement of items.
• Assemble, install, and set up delivered merchandise or products at customer locations when required.
• Maintain accurate records of items picked up and delivered, including delivery confirmations.
• Record trip-related information such as vehicle mileage, fuel consumption, and any issues encountered during deliveries.
• Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness and compliance with safety standards.
• Provide professional and courteous customer service during deliveries and interactions with clients.
• May scan and sort freight or cargo for delivery
• May assemble, install or set up delivered goods or merchandise
• May communicate with central dispatch using mobile communications equipment.
