Wage: $20 per hour (Overtime paid in accordance with provincial employment standards)
Hours of Work: 30–40 hours per week. Flexible schedule may be required, including early mornings or evenings.

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate required
Experience:
• Minimum 1 year working with children under the age of 5
• Experience supporting school-aged children with special needs, including ADHD is required.
• Post secondary education such as Early Childhood Educator Certificate is considered an asset.
• Additional training or experience in special needs care, child development, or behavioural support is a strong asset.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and knowledge about proper installation and use of car seats.
Job Duties:
• Provide full-time, in-home childcare for three children in a safe, nurturing, and structured environment.
• Support children with special needs by following individualized routines, behavioural strategies, and care plans.
• Supervise and assist children with daily activities including personal hygiene, dressing, meals, and rest periods.
• Plan and engage children in age-appropriate educational, recreational, and developmental activities.
• Prepare nutritious meals and snacks and assist with feeding as required.
• Maintain a clean and organized environment related to childcare.
• Accompany children to school, appointments, and activities as required.
• Monitor children’s well-being and report progress or concerns to parents.
• Ensure the physical and emotional safety of the children at all times.
• Incidental household duties as needed such as running errands, grocery shopping, and pet care.
Security & Safety:
• Criminal record check required.
• First Aid and CPR certification required (or willingness to obtain).
Personal Suitability:
• Patient and compassionate.
• Reliable and trustworthy.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple children independently.
• Ability to respond calmly to challenging situations.
• Comfortable working in a loud and busy household
Terms of Employment: Permanent, full-time position.
