Scavo Salon Inc. is looking for full time highly skilled and passionate Hairstylist for a fast-paced salon in Yonge & St. Clair, 1470 Yonge Street, Toronto ON M4T 1Z6.

1 Position available.

Total hours of work are 30 hours/week (morning, day, evening and weekend (Saturday) shifts). Pay is $56,200 annually. Successful candidates will speak English. Minimum work experience is 3 years hands on experience. Must have secondary school diploma as well as fulfil the schooling set out by Skilled Trades Ontario and are able to show that they are working towards or have their hairstylist certification.

Job Description

Main duties are as follows but not limited to:

• Suggest hairstyle compatible with client's physical features or determine style from client's instructions and preferences. Stay current with the latest trends and techniques in hair styling.
• Cut, trim, taper, curl, wave, perm and style hair (all textures)
• Analyze hair and scalp condition and provide basic treatment or advice on beauty care treatments for scalp and hair
• Clean and style wigs and hair pieces
• Apply hair extensions (tape, fusion, micro ring)
• Shampoo and rinse hair
• Style hair, including knowledge of blow-outs and various updo’s
• May perform receptionist duties and order supplies
• Needs to teach new techniques, train and supervise other hairstylists, hairstylist apprentices and helpers.
• Have excellent hand-eye coordination, attention to detail as well as artistic vision
