Position Title: Logistics Specialist

Employment Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Start Date: As soon as possible

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (30–44 hours per week). Occasional weekend work may be required based on operational needs.

Wage: $36.00 per hour

Overtime: Paid in accordance with Ontario Employment Standards Act

Job Summary

The Logistics Specialist is responsible for coordinating and overseeing the organization’s logistics operations, including inventory management, order fulfillment, shipping coordination, and logistics cost analysis. This role ensures efficient movement of materials and finished goods, maintains accurate inventory records, and supports operational efficiency across production and warehouse functions.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Plan, organize, and oversee logistics operations, including receiving, storing, and distributing materials and finished goods

Coordinate order fulfillment activities, including picking, packing, and shipping products

Monitor inventory levels and maintain accurate inventory records using tracking systems and spreadsheets

Perform regular inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies

Track shipments and ensure timely delivery of products

Compile orders and prepare shipping and logistics documentation

Coordinate activities between warehouse, production, and shipping departments

Analyze logistics data, including shipping costs and inventory performance, and prepare reports

Monitor logistics performance indicators, including inventory accuracy and turnover

Requisition materials, supplies, and equipment as needed

Follow up on logistics issues and implement corrective actions

Maintain organized logistics records and reports

Ensure compliance with workplace safety procedures

Assist with production and operational logistics support as required

Employment Requirements
Education

College diploma or certificate (1 to 2 years) in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or related field
OR

Equivalent work experience in logistics or supply chain operations

Experience

Minimum 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in logistics, warehouse operations, inventory management, or related field

Skills and Competencies

Ability to organize and coordinate logistics operations

Strong attention to detail and accuracy

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Strong organizational and time management skills

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel or similar tools

Effective communication skills
