Position Title: Logistics Specialist

Employment Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Start Date: As soon as possible

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (30–44 hours per week). Occasional weekend work may be required based on operational needs.

Wage: $36.00 per hour

Overtime: Paid in accordance with Ontario Employment Standards Act

Job Summary

The Logistics Specialist is responsible for coordinating and overseeing the organization’s logistics operations, including inventory management, order fulfillment, shipping coordination, and logistics cost analysis. This role ensures efficient movement of materials and finished goods, maintains accurate inventory records, and supports operational efficiency across production and warehouse functions.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
• Develop and implement logistics strategies to improve operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness
• Analyze and monitor logistics budgets, shipping costs, and operational expenditures to identify cost-saving opportunities
• Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) including inventory accuracy, turnover rates, and fulfillment efficiency
• Lead continuous process improvement initiatives to enhance supply chain and warehouse operations
• Conduct logistics data analysis and generate reports to support strategic decision-making
• Oversee inventory planning, forecasting, and replenishment strategies
• Coordinate cross-functional logistics operations between production, warehouse, and distribution teams
• Identify inefficiencies in logistics workflows and implement corrective actions
• Manage vendor relationships and negotiate logistics-related service agreements when required
• Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety regulations and company policies
• Supervise and guide junior staff or warehouse personnel when required
• Support business growth through scalable logistics planning and operational optimization


Employment Requirements
Education

College diploma or certificate (1 to 2 years) in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or related field
OR

Equivalent work experience in logistics or supply chain operations

Experience

Minimum 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in logistics, warehouse operations, inventory management, or related field

Skills and Competencies

Ability to organize and coordinate logistics operations

Strong attention to detail and accuracy

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Strong organizational and time management skills

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel or similar tools

Effective communication skills
