Work Days and Salary: Full-time, permanent; 30 to 44 hours per Week, from $20.00 per hour depending on qualifications. No work required on Statutory Holiday. Term: 2-4 years ideal.

Job Description

Administer bedside and personal care
Assist clients in water (i.e. pool)
Assist clients with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene
Assist in regular exercise, e.g., walk
Change non-sterile dressings
Collect specimens
Feed or assist in feeding
Launder clothing and household linens
Mend clothing and linens
Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties
Plan therapeutic diets and menus
Provide companionship
Provide personal care
Shop for food and household supplies
Prepare and serve nutritious meals
Cook

A reference check is required for this position.

The work involves a combination of sitting, standing, and walking. It is physically demanding and may require performing repetitive tasks while working under pressure. The candidate must be able to lift and handle weights of up to 45 kg (100 lbs).

The ideal candidate is punctual, reliable, and client-focused. They demonstrate strong interpersonal and oral communication skills, are flexible and well-organized, and show initiative and sound judgement. The candidate must be dependable, patient, honest, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
