Kum Bo Farm is a well-established farm in Richmond, BC, dedicated to growing high-quality vegetables. We are currently seeking a dedicated Farm Supervisor to join our team on a permanent, full-time basis.
Job Duties:
• Oversee the day-to-day operations to ensure productivity and quality standards are met
• Organize, plan, prepare and supervise routine farming activities such as planting, irrigation, harvesting, grading, sorting, packing etc.
• Open the farm in the morning and close at the end of the business day
• Hire, train, and supervise farm workers
• Assign work to workers, supervise the work and evaluate worker’s performance
• Create work schedules and establish procedures
• Monitor crop quality and ensure high quality standards of farm products
• Ensure farm safety procedures are followed
• Plan, order and maintain inventory of farm supplies and inputs, including all necessary recordkeeping
• Monitor weather conditions and adjust farming operations accordingly
• Monitor, maintain, and coordinate repairs of farm equipment and tools
• Resolve customer’s complaints and work-related issues, prepare and submit reports to manager when required
Employment Requirements:
• Completion of post-secondary education
• Previous work experience in a farm or agricultural setting
• Excellent communication skills
