Job Description
Supervise 1-2 crewmembers, monitor and enforce operational procedures, expected to check individual pens for sick or distressed animals. Once affected animals are identified, the employee is expected to treat the animal with the correct drug to prevent death or continued sickness. Farm Supervisors are expected to use the proper protocol to process all incoming cattle and associate them with a lot name and a tag number provided by the employer.
Tasks:
- Supervise 1-2 crew members, monitor and enforce operational procedures
- Handling animals
- Monitoring animal health
- Ensure farm safety and bio-security procedures are followed
- Maintain livestock performance records
- Maintain quality control and production records
- Maintain work records and logs
- Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment
- Perform general farm duties (general maintenance of fences, corrals, gates, and holding systems)
