Responsibilities
Tasks

Work with others in order to ensure that equipment is in proper working order.
Observe and follow company safety rules and regulations.
Operate excavating machinery to perform various tasks such as digging trenches and holes, grading and leveling land, and extracting materials
Perform routine maintenance and inspections on the equipment to ensure that it is in good working condition
Read and interpret blueprints, maps, and other documents to determine the location and depth of excavation
Ensure that the work site is safe and secure, taking measures to prevent accidents and injuries
Communicate with other team members to coordinate excavation activities and ensure that work is being done efficiently and effectively
Keep records of daily operations, including hours worked, materials used, and equipment maintenance performed Troubleshoot and resolve any equipment malfunctions or issues that may arise during the course of the work
Follow all safety guidelines and regulations, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment and using caution when working near hazardous materials or equipment
