Responsibilities
Tasks
• Preparing ingredients, and cooking full meals or individual dishes, including sauces, soups, salads, and entrées.
• Setting up, maintaining, and stocking workstations with necessary supplies.
• Complying with food safety regulations, and ensuring the kitchen area is cleaned and sanitized.
• Ensuring food is plated according to restaurant standards and following portion control guidelines.
• Monitoring inventory levels, ordering supplies, and recording waste.
• Assisting in menu development, training new staff, and supervising kitchen helpers
