We are hiring a Restaurant Manager to support daily operations and provide independent management coverage during assigned shifts.

Hourly Wage: $30 to $36 depending on the work experience and personal ability; 30-40 hours per week

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
• Independently oversee restaurant operations during assigned shifts
• Act as the manager-on-duty, with full responsibility for service flow, staff supervision, and customer satisfaction
• Open and close the restaurant, including cash handling and daily reporting
• Supervise, coordinate, and support front-of-house and back-of-house staff
• Collaborate with the other manager developing staff schedules, monitoring performance and ensuring consistent quality across all shifts
• Recruit, train and manage staff, ensuring adequate coverage and top-quality services
• Address customer concerns and operational issues in real time
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and workplace regulations
• Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering and cost control
• Complete required operational and compliance documentation
• Assist the owner with cost planning and expense tracking for food, beverage, and operational supplies
• Coordinate restaurant promotional events and marketing activities to ensure smooth execution
Work Schedule & Expectations:
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and statutory holidays
• Ability to manage shifts independently without on-site owner supervision
• Work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
• Physically demanding, Repetitive tasks, Standing for extended periods of time
Position Requirements and Qualifications
• Completion of College/CEGEP or equivalent work experience in a related field.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in the food service industry, with proven experience in a supervisory or managerial role within a restaurant or catering service setting
• Second language especially Chinese is a strong asset
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of food safety standards, labor regulations, and restaurant operations
• Ability to manage staff and operations independently during busy periods
• Experience with POS systems and daily reporting is an asset
