Location: Employer's home, Blue Mountains ON; Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.
Job Type: Permanent, full-time
Work Site Environment: Non-smoking, Scent free
Hours: 35 hours per week - split shift in early morning and late afternoon / evening (7-10.30am and 2.30-6pm, or as otherwise adjusted)

Job Description

Tasks

Change diapers
Assume full responsibility for household in absence of parents
Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties
Travel with family on trips and assist with child supervision and housekeeping duties
Wash, iron and press clothing and household linens
Care for pets
Bathe, dress and feed infants and children
Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development
Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home
Organize, activities such as games and outings for children
Prepare and serve nutritious meals
Prepare infants and children for rest periods
Supervise and care for children
Take children to and from school and to appointments
Tend to emotional well-being of children
Clean, disinfect and polish kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances
Sweep, mop, wash and polish floors

Requirements
Minimum education and experience reflected in this posting, must have experience with all tasks listed
Strong swimming ability, as supervising the kids in the pool in our community or in the lake at our family cottage is a key part of the job
Willingness to travel frequently, as we go to a family cottage for at least one month over the summer as well as to Toronto and other destinations often through the year
Certificate - Emergency child care first aid and CPR
Ability to drive, with driver's license (if international license, must be willing to take Canadian driving test), as we live in a remote area (15 mins drive from Collingwood) and would want someone comfortable driving with potential ability to run errands or drive kids to activities
