South Island Primary Care Society (dba Colwood Family Practice and Goldstream Medical Clinic) is seeking one Medical Administrative Assistant to join their team in Victoria.

Full-time, $27.00 per hour; 40 hours per week, Mondays to Fridays.
Extended benefits past probationary period of 6 months.

Shifts may be scheduled at the following two locations, as required:
1. Colwood Family Practice, 102-1910 Sooke Road, Victoria, BC
2. Goldstream Medical Clinic, 106-2832 Bryn Maur Road, Langford, BC

Job Description
Duties:
• Enter and format electronically based medical reports and correspondence and prepare spreadsheets and documents for review
• Initiate and maintain confidential medical files and records
• Interview patients to obtain case histories
• Complete insurance and other claim forms
• Maintain filing system
• Perform data entry
• Schedule and confirm appointments
• Open and distribute regular and electronic incoming mail and other material

Requirements:
• Completion of college program in medical administration or related discipline is required;
• Minimum 1 year of previous office experience in the medical or health sector is an asset;
• Must be proficient OSCAR EMR, OCEAN Scheduling, SR Fax, and experience in urgent care and family practice.
• English language ability is required.
