A private individual is seeking a home support worker to care for an adult with a physical disability for 30 hours per week, split over two shifts per day (Mon-Fri). Start date: April 1, 2026

REQUIREMENTS
- CPR Certificate
- First Aid Certificate
- Experience working with persons with physical disabilities
- Criminal record check
- References required
- Valid driver's licence

PHYSICAL CAPABILITIES
- Bending, crouching, kneeling
- Combination of sitting, standing, walking
- Weight handling up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs)

Job Description

TASKS
Care for trained service dog (must be comfortable with dogs)
Administer medications
Assist client in pool (must be comfortable swimming)
Assist client with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene
Assist in regular exercise (range of motion and physio)
Assist with transfers using mechanical lift
Launder clothing and household linens
Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties
Provide companionship
Provide personal care
Shop for food and household supplies
Prepare and serve nutritious meals
