We are a friendly and welcoming family located in Smoky Lake, Alberta, seeking a dedicated and experienced Family Caregiver to support our household and contribute to a safe, clean, and comfortable home environment. We are looking for a reliable individual who is interested in a long-term commitment and who can provide consistent care, especially during busy weeks.
The selected individual will be responsible for the following duties:
-Prepare nutritious meals in accordance with dietary requirements, medical restrictions, and personal preferences
- Plan menus and ensure safe food handling practices
- Provide companionship, including engaging in conversation, accompanying the client on walks and activities, and supporting social interaction
- Assist with daily living activities such as light exercises and medication reminders (as permitted)
- Monitor the client’s well-being, observe changes in health or behavior, and report any concerns to family members
- Support daily routines and promote emotional well-being

Qualifications and Education Requirements:
- No specific education is required
- Some experience as an Elderly Caregiver is required
- Good English language skills are needed

Job Description

Terms and Conditions:
Permanent, full-time employment – minimum 30 hours per week
Compensation: $23.45 per hour. An overtime rate of 1 ½ of base pay will apply after 44 hours of work per week
Location of work: Private Household, Smoky Lake, T0A 3C0

The ideal candidate for this position should have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently. They should also be trustworthy, reliable, and able to maintain confidentiality. \
