We are seeking an innovative and positive team player with:
• Demonstrated knowledge of the justice sector and issues affecting access to justice.
• Experience working or volunteering in the nonprofit and/or philanthropic sectors.
• Experience developing grant applications, and leading grant programs, and/or making grant and funding recommendations, and monitoring and evaluating grants.
• Success in building and nurturing relationships with colleagues and community partners.
• A related post-secondary degree (e.g. legal/justice studies, public policy, administration, etc.) or equivalent experience.
• Superior oral and written communication skills.
• The ability to communicate in both French and English is an asset.
• Excellent organizational, time management and problem-solving skills with the proven ability to lead projects to successful outcomes in a rapidly changing environment.

Hiring salary range: $82,000 - $95,000

Job Description
Are you committed to access to justice? Do you have experience in the nonprofit or philanthropic sector? Consider joining The Law Foundation of Ontario. As Grants Manager, you will provide vital input and play a key role in delivering granting and program opportunities that support and enhance access to justice for diverse groups across Ontario and Canada.
Under the guidance of the Director, Grants & Programs, and in collaboration with a dynamic, high-performing team, you will lead and manage funding relationships with nonprofits, legal programs, and educational institutions, and contribute to innovative programs to meet community needs.
You will also:
• Collaboratively implement and maintain leading practices in granting, including managing and evaluating grant applications, and providing ongoing support to applicants and grantees.
• Develop, lead, and execute special projects, including new, best-in-class programs for increasing access to justice in response to evolving community needs and industry trends.
• Serve as ambassador for the Foundation in promoting and furthering its mission in the community across the legal, public, and nonprofit sectors.
• Manage the full cycle of grant review to reporting while fostering and managing relationships with other funders, grant applicants and recipients, and other key partners across Ontario and Canada.
• Prepare grant assessments and recommendations for the Board of Trustees.
