Job Details
Tondou Ramen, a ramen restaurant serving authentic Japanese Okinawan Ramen noodles and soup base, is seeking a Restaurant Manager for our Toronto location.
Permanent, full-time; 30-44 hours per week; $36.00 per hour. Bonus is available depending on sales performance.

Standard 6-8.8-hour shifts for this position could be scheduled between 9AM and 12AM, as required.

Job Description
Duties:
• Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate the daily operations of the restaurant;
• Establish menu and services to be offered and implement operational procedures accordingly;
• Balance cash and complete balance sheets cash reports and related forms;
• Lead regular management meetings;
• Conduct interviews and hire staff;
• Supervise employees and conduct performance reviews;
• Organize and maintain inventory;
• Ensure health and safety regulations are followed;
• Negotiate arrangements with suppliers for food and other supplies;
• Participate in marketing plans and implementation;
• Address customer complaints or concerns;
• Provide customer service as needed;
• Ensure all meals leaving the kitchen are consistent in presentation and quality;
• Prepare ramen soup base and other items on the menu.

Qualifications:
• A college diploma is required;
• 5 years experience as a commercial cook is required;
• At least 2 years of previous management experience is required, preferably in restaurants;
• Previous experience with Japanese ramen cuisine is an asset;
• English language ability is required;
• Japanese language ability is an asset.
