Terms of Employment
Wage: $21.00/hour
Position: Full-time, Permanent.
Vacation: 2 weeks
Work Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Job Description

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes according to hotel recipes.
• Weigh, measure, and mix ingredients according to company recipes using various kitchen equipment;
• Precook necessary ingredients as well as pre-assemble dishes and ingredients with appropriate portions;
• Portion, arrange, and garnish food;
• Coordinate the work activities of kitchen staff;
• Prepare weekly work schedules and requisitions for commissary meats and other food items;
• Engage in the inventory of food items and prepare estimates of quantities of food items to be prepared;
• Monitor and order supplies as required;
• Ensure all food is prepared fresh and is of the highest quality;
• Constantly use safe and hygienic food handling practices.

Education and Experience
• Must have completed high school;
• Must have at least 2 years of commercial cooking experience;
• Must be able to multi-task and plan ahead.
• Must be able to communicate in English;
• Must have excellent communication and organization skills.
