Foley’s has been creating premium cocoa-based compound and pure chocolate products for over 40 years. We are a key strategic supplier to industrial manufacturers, bakery & food service distributors, and leading brands throughout North America.
Material Manager position will report to Director of Operations in a full-time (40hrs/week), permanent basis with wage of $50.50/hr based out of our Richmond, BC facility.
Duties and responsibilities of Material Manager:
• Ensure compliance with all local, national and corporate environmental, health, and safety standards, as well as regulatory and corporate requirements in procurement processes and supplier contract.
• Analyze, plan and direct the purchasing activities while leading and managing warehouse transfers and cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy.
• Oversee purchasing, procurement and material planning operations to ensure continuity of supply and alignment with production schedules.
• Direct and monitor the full materials management life cycle, including procurement, storage, and internal transfers, to ensure alignment with purchasing strategies and production schedules.
• Develop, implement and enforce inventory control standards aligned with purchasing strategies.
• Identify and onboard vendors of various raw materials, packaging and manufacturing equipment and other supplies.
• Administrate procurement/material documents such as Purchase Orders (POs), Bill of Ladings (BOLs)
• Evaluate and manage supplier relationships, negotiate and oversee the negotiation process of procurement/purchasing contracts to ensure cost-effectiveness.
• Manage and support warehouse and inventory staff; assign tasks, monitor performance and provide training as necessary.

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required
• Several years of experience in a similar setting (food manufacturing) is required
• Strong attention to detail, experience on supply chain management and process optimization is an asset.
