Job Description
Duties:
- Prepare and cook a variety of meals and dishes with consistent quality and presentation.
- Monitor food inventory and supplies.
- Assist with stock checks and placing orders when needed.
- Support smooth kitchen operations by coordinating with and guiding kitchen helpers.
- Keep the kitchen clean, organized, and compliant with health and safety standards.
- Help set up and manage buffet services during events or peak periods.
- Assist in planning menus, portion sizes, and estimating food needs and costs.
Requirement:
- High school education is required.
- Completion of a 3-year cooking apprenticeship, a culinary or food safety program from a college or other institution, or several years of experience in a commercial kitchen is an asset.
